ARKEO THEATRE WORKSHOP
Kicking off our new collaboration with employment scheme, The 888 collective we ran a successful workshop with some students/graduates their course. Using theatre and movement techniques we drew from their training on their course as a creative way of exploring the work. We have received positive and useful feedback and are excited to build on this for the future of this collaboration.
TRISTAN BATES PERFORMANCES
We finished our run at the Tristan Bates Theatre at Covent Garden. We performed three nights in the main space, returning to the venue after developing the show as part of their John Thaw session focussing on mental health. It was a delight to return to the venue and perform the full show to a fresh audience.
2018 HIGHLIGHTS
2018 has been an exciting year for SpeakUp Theatre. After the success of our 2017 Edinburgh Fringe run and NSDF, we connected with some brilliant companies, upcoming and well established.
Predominantly we developed our new show 'LOVE (Watching Madness)' taking it from fragments of conversations and messages to a fully fledged piece.
We began our exciting collaboration with Jana Dowling and The 888 collective, furthering our goal of pushing the side our outreach and social engagement which we hope to continue more into 2019.
Many thanks to all who supported us in 2018 and we can't wait for what the next year brings!
